Fruit Abundance:
Closed for ripening

Season: Mid May - June

We grow over 20 acres of strawberries every year. Strawberries are our first fruit of the year and are available in our markets and for Pick-Your-Own around the middle of May. They last for about a month. Pick-Your-Own strawberries are one of Spring’s best family activities!

Picking Tips
  • Look for strawberries that are fully red, without white tips—strawberries do not continue to ripen after being picked.
    • Gently spread the plant apart and look in the middle of the bush for hidden berries
  • Gently grasp the stem just above the berry and pinch or twist to remove it, leaving the green cap attached.
  • Place berries carefully in your container to avoid bruising, and try not to overfill.
  • Please do not step on the rows
Field Rules
  • No bags allowed in Pick-Your-Own fields. Bags are prohibited to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Must pay for everything that you pick. All fruit must fit in purchased container. Any fruit that does not fit in purchased container is considered unpaid and considered stolen. If you find that you have picked more than your container will hold, let field supervisor or wagon driver know and they will be glad to direct you on what to do from there.
  • Always wash your fruit before consuming. No picnicking in Pick-Your-Own Fields
  • No pets are allowed anywhere on the farm
  • No food is allowed in Pick-Your-Own fields
  • Please stay home if you are sick
