Fruit Abundance:
Out of Season

Season: Early July

A unique cross between a black currant and a gooseberry, jostaberries are rich, dark, and bursting with bold flavor. These deep purple berries have a sweet-tart taste that’s perfect for jams, jellies, pies, or even wine. At Baugher’s Orchard, jostaberries are available for Pick-Your-Own, offering a rare treat for adventurous berry pickers. We also offer minimal quantities at our Orchard Market, so be sure to check early during the season. With their short harvest window and limited supply, jostaberries are a must-try for anyone looking for something a little different and delicious!

Picking Tips

Pick ripe berries by gently pulling them from the plant. Fully ripe berries will release easily. Ripe jostaberries are dark purple to black and plump.
